They just vanish. Been out there at night looking for snails/slugs, haven't seen any grasshoppers or beetles, can't find any caterpillars...it's just weird! They look pretty sad; got pole beans growing on my arbor, so may just pull them and try again. I've missed you! Happy to hear your garden survived while you were gone. I had a problem with my young bean leaves being eaten to bits by earwigs. Now that they have grown larger, they aren't bothered by them any more. It's hard to get them past the chewed up stage, though. ‘Bout time you got back. I’ve missed you!
