Sometimes Hubby
is the sweetest guy. He was at the grocery store yesterday, and noticed they had a bunch of ceramic pots on clearance. Apparently they’re getting rid of summer stuff to replace it with…Christmas, maybe? He called and asked me if I wanted any; I’m sure you know my answer. He came home with 5 10.5″ pots, and asked me if I wanted any more. I told him I’d take all he wanted to buy; a gardener can always find something to plant in an empty pot, right?
So he came home today with 2 half-barrels and a bunch more ceramic pots. Pics and peppers within…

Look at all these! Cool, huh? There are more behind that you can’t see…
My peppers finally started blooming a while ago, and I finally found some baby peppers today while I was up-close-and-personal spraying off the aphids yet again…those little buggers truly do love my pepper plants. Here are a few pics…(there were more peppers, but it was too darn hot out there to putz around taking more pics).

This is an Admiral Gold bell

This is some kind of an Ancho Chile
So besides washing aphids off peppers and taking pics, I pulled all the dead tomatoes, etc, and have been hoping it would cool off enough that I could get out there, empty the SWC’s, and replenish the soil. The babies are growing, and will need to go out in about 2 wks, or so. Emptied a few of them today, but still need to finish. Gonna need a bunch of potting soil to fill all my new containers, too…
Guess it’s time to finish dinner then get out there while it’s not quite as hot…
EDIT: Dang that stupid mockingbird, anyway. I pulled out the tomatoes on which it was snacking, so it decided to snip the tops off a couple of my baby bush beans, instead. I’m sure it was thinking, (big raspberry) NYAH! NYAH! So there!

HA! I read “sometimes hubby” and thought your were posting about a man who was a “sometimes hubby.” Gave me a good laugh, but WOW, what a man to call and offer MORE pots for gardening!? You must be adding something to his dinners at night.
Shhhh! You’re not supposed to tell him that! It helps that they were $30 pots on clearance for $5…and he knows it keeps me off the street and out of trouble…LOL…
First visit here, everything looks lovely and your posts are captivating. Peace for all
Well, thanks. Y’all come back now!
